SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD
Docket No. FD 36008
Docket No. FD 36009
GULF & OHIO RAILWAYS, INC., H. PETER CLAUSSEN AND LINDA C. CLAUSSEN—CONTINUANCE IN CONTROL EXEMPTION—NORTH CAROLINA & ATLANTIC RAILROAD CO., INC.
Decided: November 3, 2016
In a letter filed on August 1, 2016, the North Carolina & Atlantic Railroad Co., Inc. (NCAR) notes that it has changed its name to Kinston & Snow Hill Railroad Co., Inc., and requests that the Board “correct” the notices of exemption in these proceedings to identify the railroad by its new name. NCAR states that the railroad continues to be the same corporate entity as before the name change occurred and there has been no change with respect to the entities and individuals controlling the railroad.
It is the Board’s practice not to reissue decisions to reflect names changes but to note name changes in its records. However, to acknowledge NCAR’s name change per its request, the Board is issuing this general notice to reflect the fact that NCAR changed its name to Kinston & Snow Hill Railroad Co., Inc.
It is ordered:
1. The Board’s records will reflect that the name of North Carolina & Atlantic Railroad Co. has been changed to Kinston & Snow Hill Railroad Co., Inc.
2. This decision is effective on its service date.
By the Board, Rachel D. Campbell, Director, Office of Proceedings.
