The Surface Transportation Board’s Office of Environmental Analysis (OEA) today issued a notice regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed acquisition of Kansas City Southern Railway by Canadian Pacific Railway.  Today’s notice changes the venue for one of the four in-person public meetings.

The Draft EIS issued on August 5, 2022, announced that OEA is holding seven public meetings, including three online public meetings and four in-person public meetings, where elected officials, agencies, members of the public, and other stakeholders will be able to provide oral comments on the Draft EIS.

OEA is notifying all interested parties that the venue for the in-person public meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Central Daylight Time (CDT) has been changed.  The time and date remain as originally announced.  The in-person public meeting on September 15, 2022, will now be held at the following address:

Downtown Event Centre
700 Crockett Street
Beaumont, Texas 77701

The venues for the other in-person meetings remain unchanged.  Project updates and additional information regarding the EIS process for the proposed acquisition are available on the Board-sponsored project website at www.CP-KCSMergerEIS.com.
