Surface Transportation Board Adopts New & Updated User Fees

The Surface Transportation Board has made some modest changes to its fee schedules. The STB's decision adopted certain new fees for services for which no fee had been previously assessed, applied minimal increases to certain existing below-cost fees, and made other modifications to conform the fee schedule to the statute.

The new fees were adopted in Regulations Governing Fees for Services Performed in Connection with Licensing and Related Services--2002 New Fees, STB Ex Parte No. 542 (Sub-No. 4), which is available for viewing and downloading via the agency's Web site at http://www.stb.dot.gov.
