Public & Media Advisory: Surface Transportation Board Issues Revised Schedule of Appearances & Time Allocations for July 24 Public Hearing in New York City on "Highline" Rail-Line Abandonment Case


Surface Transportation Board Chairman Roger Nober today announced the issuance of a revised speakers' schedule for the Board's July 24, 2003 public hearing in the New York "Highline" railroad abandonment case.



The attached list of speakers and speaking times replaces that issued in Surface Transportation Board "News" release #03-32, issued July 17, 2003, concerning the Board's public hearing beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT, on Thursday, July 24, 2003, in the Federal Conference Center, in the Jacob Javits Federal Building, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, New York. That hearing will provide a forum for interested persons to express their views on the matters at issue in the rail-abandonment case officially entitled Chelsea Property Owners--Abandonment--Portion of the Consolidated Rail Corporation's West 30th Street Secondary Track in New York, NY, Docket No. AB-167 (Sub-No. 1094)A.



The Board initially announced the July 24 Highline public hearing in Surface Transportation Board "News" release #03-26 issued June 4, 2003. News release #03-32, mentioned above, also provided instructions for public and media attendance at the hearing. These prior, and all of the Board's news releases, are available under "News & Speeches" on the homepage of the Board's Website at www.stb.dot.gov.
