Surface Transportation Board Issues Environmental Assessment on Ameren Energy Generating Company's Proposal To Construct & Operate a Rail Line in Illinois

The Surface Transportation Board announced today that its Section of Environmental Analysis (SEA) has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) on the Ameren Energy Generating Company's proposal to construct and operate a railroad line in southcentral Illinois.

The public is invited to submit written comments on the EA. Commenters should submit an original and one copy. All comments must be postmarked by June 30, 2005 to:
