The Surface Transportation Board today announced additional instructions in preparation for the upcoming hearing regarding the proposed merger between Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (CP) and Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCS). The notice sets the schedule of appearances, the time allotted to each speaker or group, and provides specific instructions for panelist participation.
The public hearing will be held on September 28, 29, and 30, 2022, in the Hearing Room of the Board’s headquarters, located at 395 E Street, S.W., Washington, DC 20423. The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on September 28 and 30, and 9:00 a.m. ET on September 29, and end at 6:00 p.m. ET each day. The hearing will be available for public viewing on the Board’s YouTube page.
Panelists listed in the schedule of appearances who intend to speak at the hearing via Zoom but have not yet provided a necessary email address must submit it to Hearings@stb.gov by 12:00 p.m. ET on September 22, 2022. In addition, for panelists attending the hearing virtually, Board staff will conduct a technology practice session on September 23, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. ET. More information on this practice session is provided in the notice.
Persons interested in viewing the hearing are encouraged to access the hearing on YouTube, as there is limited seating in the Hearing Room.
