SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD

The Surface Transportation Board today announced additional instructions in preparation for the September 16 and 17, 2024 hearing regarding recent trends and strategies for growth in the freight rail industry.

The public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room of the Board’s headquarters, located at 395 E Street, S.W., Washington, DC 20423 and will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. ET.  This is a change from the previously noted start time.

The notice sets the schedule of appearances, the time allotted to each speaker or group, and provides specific instructions for panelist participation.  Any panelist who wishes to make a visual presentation at the hearing shall email a copy of the presentation to the Board at no later than September 12, 2024.

Persons interested in viewing the hearing are encouraged to access the hearing on the Board’s YouTube page, as there is limited seating in the Hearing Room.  Please see the full notice for more information, including building access, accommodations, and parking.  Members of the media should contact Michael Booth in the Office of Public Assistance, Governmental Affairs, and Compliance at (202) 245-1760 if they plan to attend the hearing in person.
