SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD

The Surface Transportation Board’s Office of Environmental Analysis (OEA) today issued a Draft Environmental Assessment (Draft EA) for Savannah Industrial Logistics and Savannah Industrial Transportation’s construction and operation of an 11,404-foot rail line in Effingham County, Georgia.

The Draft EA analyzes the environmental impacts that could have resulted from construction of the rail line, where possible, and the potential impacts from the continued operation of the rail line.  OEA will be accepting comments on all aspects of the Draft EA until the close of the comment period on May 12, 2025.
