STB Operational Status
Due to the lapse in appropriations causing the federal government to partially shut down its operations, most STB functions will be suspended. Please see the latest press release and the agency’s plan for operating during a funding lapse for details.
The Regulatory Reform Task Force was established to comply with the spirit of Executive Order 13,777, issued February 24, 2017. The initial goals of the RRTF are to: (i) improve implementation of regulatory reform initiatives and policies pursuant to the EO; and (ii) evaluate existing regulations to identify regulations for repeal, replacement, or modification, consistent with applicable law. Periodic status reports detailing the efforts of the RRTF will be posted to this page.
