The Surface Transportation Board today announced that it has resumed acceptance of filings and other submissions in paper format at its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency announced in March 2020 that stakeholders were being required to submit filings and other submissions electronically until further notice.  The Board is now announcing that the agency can once again accept filings and submissions in paper format as well as electronically via e-filing.  Additionally, the STB will resume sending paper copies of agency notices and decisions to parties via U.S. mail.

While paper filings will once again be accepted in accordance with the Board’s regulations, stakeholders are strongly encouraged to continue to submit filings via the Board’s e-filing system and to consent to e-service of decisions.

Instructions and information related to e-filing can be found on the Board’s website here.  Paper filings and other submissions may be mailed or delivered to the Surface Transportation Board, at 395 E Street S.W., Washington, DC 20423 in accordance with the regulations at 49 C.F.R. Part 1104.
