STB Extends Reply Comment Period for Proposed Reciprocal Switching Rule

The Surface Transportation Board announced that it will extend by fourteen days the reply comment period in Reciprocal Switching for Inadequate Service, Docket No. EP 711 (Sub-No. 2), a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that focuses on providing rail customers with access to reciprocal switching as a remedy for poor service.

Reply comments on the NRPM are now due on December 20, 2023.  The Board also notes that with this extension, the ex parte meeting period has been extended through November 30, 2023.
