The file archive of historical STB Form C collection (49 CFR Part 1246) is available below. This file archive will only show employment data files prior to January 2015. All other employment data is contained in the STB-1246-ALL-CARRIERS compilation file.
In EP 770 (Sub-No. 1) the Board directed Class I rail carriers to submit two broad categories of data for rail service and employment for a six-month period to better assess how these carriers are performing amid a challenging supply chain environment. These collections were extended in 2022, in 2023, and twice in 2024 with some modifications to scope. The collection in EP 770 (Sub-No. 1) ended following receipt of December 2025 data. The archive file of the historical EP 770 (Sub-No.1) data is available here. The archive file also contains legacy 49 Part 1246 data for CP (SOO) and KCS.
